Sellers can end an auction for lots of reasons. It probably had nothing to do with a neg feedback. I've been involved with auctions that ended early for many different reasons. One time the item had been written on with a black magic marker by the sellers child. Another time an auction ended early because the item was sold off eBay. I once had to end an auction early because of an illness in the family. I knew that I couldn't be around to answer questions or ship the item, so I ended it it and put it back on at a more convenient time. I'm not sure if that's legal, but I had no bidders at the time, and I had to leave town.
As far as the bad feedback, not much you can do. You can try to have it mutually withdrawn. If you're really worried about and your feedback number is low, just come up with a new name and start over. You might have that "sunglasses" symbol by your name for a while though. Honestly, 1 bad feedback is NOT a big deal. Most people will look at who left the feedback and consider the source!

In some circumstances sellers can cancel listing but with an active bid this is unlikely. Since you were outbid you would not be notified of the reason. There may have been some problem between the seller and the bidder. There are some really difficult sellers on ebay and you have to look at the seller rating and check out the feedback, etc. to see how well a seller performs.
If you have any questions contact ebay and ask them what is going on.

Was there a reserve price on this item? If none of the bids reached the pre-determined amount, the seller can withdraw his item and not sell it. You should contact eBay and ask them for an explanation, especially since you were outbid.
I have done business with eBay sellers for years, and never had a problem but they can happen.

I have been selling on E Bay for a few years and I have only cancelled bids one time and that was because the item was broken and when I noticed it I cancelled my listing, I don't want anyone getting a bad or broken item from me. I don't think this happens very often at all. Did you contact the seller and ask him/her why it was cancelled? I have never had a problem buying or selling on E-Bay.

Sellers usually stop bidding if they get an offer the will accept and also sometimes sellers have their item listed in more than one site. Like on ebay and pennysaver, craiglist. Why did the person ding you? You can fight those if you contact ebay.

Well.. it doesn't happen that often. And about the 16 year old you can file a complaint and contact them. There ARE several ways for the feedback to be taken out.

it does happen quiet a bit scammers are constantly on ebay and if ebay thinks something is not right with the item that is posted they will rip it off the web. I have had it happened to me quiet a bit in the past few months.

Try seeing the bidders on ebay motors. They are hidden.
They are coming to your ebay.
