Like most people say...i have the wierdest family. The difference is, it is TRUE with mine.

I have stories upon stories upon stories (mostly about my mom) that range from "forgetting to wear pants" to "12 animals in the house"

I am not joking, we really need a sitcom.

My question is...i would like to collect these stories and eventually make a book. How do i start this process and when i am ready, what do i do?

the first thing that you need to do is to get permission from your family to put this in a book. Make sure that you have this in writing, as you might need this later if there was to be a conflict of interest of any ones part. then collect all the stories and then decide in what order you want to put them. Then start typing. I hope that you have good luck with this book, and Happy New Year.

Study the authors who made a living writing about their wacky family life, Erma Bombeck springs to mind.

A lot of these stories were usually published as newspaper columns, usually by a local who doesn't mind people knowing everything about them. You might want to check your local paper, usually in the "Living" section. These days a blog can do just as well.

Start at the beginning and work until now. When finished, do some research on the writing process. Very informative.

Just start writing them down. It's as simple as that.
