Thats how distinctive the era is in recent times and regrettably im in it too. Im 15 and that i've got not got an ipod or blackberry, im mature, im a immediately a student, I used to have a facebook, I positioned on makeup. i think of its ok for a 15 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old yet an 11 year old? heavily? She is spoiled and youngsters like that in simple terms make my era seem undesirable. i for my area do no longer think of a new child could have their own cellular telephone til age 11 or 12. in line with possibility have a working laptop or laptop yet no longer her own laptop. An ipod optimistic yet they should earn it. each and every thing I even have actual now I even have worked for. THe 11 year old shouldn't act like that yet like i reported thats how this is in recent times.

I think it depend on the child. I got my 12 year old daughter one for Christmas, but I know that she is mature enough to handle it. She has a cell phone as well. Now my son that is getting ready to be 11 there is no way that I would give him anything of the sort. He has lost 5 coats in the last year and he isn't mature enough. So once again I would say it depends on the child.

Some people get iPods at age 9.

iPods are too expensive to give to 11 year olds who will lose or break them. But if a kid wants one, then I'd let them buy one with their own money. I'd say an appropriate age to buy one for someone would be around 15, 16ish.

I would if they were responsible. That's about the age I got my first cell phone, and I was very careful with it and never did anything to it. I had it for over two years, too, and I never once dropped it. Then at about thirteen I got my first MP3 player, and I took good care of that. It matters if the kid is responsible enough, not to break it, and responsible enough not to use it how it's not supposed to be used, and not to download music that you forbid them from listening to.

I just got my 6 year old twins iPod shuffles for xmas. They like listening to music and kids music so why not get them something they can listen to. Why waist $ on something that will break when I could invest in something worth while!?
