Are you planning on having sex with him/her?

It makes a difference as to whether it is a good compliment or not.

It also matters if he/she likied his/her parents.

well my dad has had a full time job his entire life since a young boy, and at times he worked two full time jobs so he could buy us a house, and he worked full time and did side jobs all the way to retirement, and when he does work, like on his house, you can not find one seam anywhere, his work is impeccable,
and he does not take anyone being rude to females...
my mom is the mom, she has done it all and still does, and she is like the EverReady battery, she keeps on ticking, keeps on going and going, she never stops or complains..

so I guess it would be a good thing

smile
good luck

People tell me i am like my mom and look like her, it upsets me deeply because she is a putter downer and i always try and bring spirits up! My dad and mom re successful and loving and rich but have their flaws i hope i can avoid w/ my kids when i have them like my dad when he gets mad throws things at my bro cause he is the only boy and should be able to handle it so my dad thinks!

If someone told me I was like my mom, I would do everything in my power to change that.

If they told me I was like my dad, that is an ultimate compliment. My Daddy is the coolest.

Depends on the context. If I've done something they don't like and they say "You're just like your mother" in that awful way that's not a compliment.
But if I do something good that they like and they say "You're just like your mom" that's a compliment.
