As a fellow fan, I know what you are feeling. It is too bad they wasted such a great defensive effort against the run on this offense. The main things the Vikings need to work on:

1. Developing or obtaining a deep threat wide reciever: We no longer have Randy Moss or Cris Carter. It is very hard to see terrible recievers, like Williamson, play for the Vikes. They need a legitimate deep threat (Williamson is too inconsistent and Taylor is not fast enough)

2. Eliminate the stupid pre-snap penalties by the offensive line. This is all about discipline, don't move until the ball is snapped. I personally don't see why this is so hard. These little five-yard penalties have killed the Vikes offense. They have on many occassions had a 3rd and 5 or 3rd and 6 turned into a 3rd and 10 or 3rd and 11 by these avoidable penalties.

3. Develop Tavaris Jackson: He has an arm and he can move around, give him the decision making skills and accuracy of a veteran. Maybe bring another veteran in to help him out and back him up. I think they need to start next season with Jackson.

I think the Vikes have alot of the pieces and a better, more consistent, and more potent offense would take some pressure off of our decent defense. I would give Childress two to three more years to put something together.

About the same as this year. They still won't have a viable starter at QB, they'll still be weak at WR. And that #1 run D is very misleading since they are like 28th in the league against the pass so obviously teams will exploit another teams biggest weakness on D. Their run D isn't as good as it appears since their pass D has been so awful.

IMHO the Viking need to rip off the roof of that dome and play outdoors in the snow and cold. Until then they will be cursed by the Hershel Walker trade that resurrected the Cowboy fans out of the woodwork.

Hopefully not as good as that small town team a bit east of you.

Sorry, but with 'da Bears' going full tilt this year, and the Lions so far down that they cannot be heard, you're the only ones left to pick on.

i think it might be another tough year for the vikes. might be a few years before they can overtake the bears for the division. i think they need to stick with jackson. he will be good in time.

7-9 and will make Wild Card but won't go far in the playoffs.
