I put Betty Lou in my pickup truck, headed down to the Honky Tonk. My cowboy hat was on the gun rack and we were looking to get drunk. 2 shots of tequila down, and looking forward to many more, I was thinking of the life in Amarillo and memories of before. Highway 95 took us away, and I hope it may be taking us back, we got to the bar, got out of the truck, I grabbed my hat off of the rack.

i put on my cowboy hat, hopped out my pick up truck, took two shots of tequilla and wished betty lou good luck as i headed out on highway 95 i turned an the radio and heard honky tonk live. i hit and armidillo and wonders whats a amarillo while memories filled my mind.--------------------------p.s i never listen to country..... pretty good tho
