i went to bed with 10 and woke up with 9. what happened to it?

Try looking up your nose. If it's not there, then see if it's stuck to the 'Snooze' button on your alarm clock. If it's not THERE then it is probably the finger I found on my way to town this morning! Let me know would ya?

You had 9 fingers to begin with. You had an erection, so 10 fingers. When you woke up, it was gone. 9 fingers.
