My favorite singer from the 1960s is Otis Redding! He didn't get nearly the appreciation he truly deserved. Well, I am looking for the complete recordings of Otis Redding. I know that there is a compilation called "Stax Volt - The Complete Recordings 1959 - 1968" with many of Otis Redding's songs, but it isn't all of his recordings. Also, I know that Elektra released "Otis! The Definitive Otis Redding" in 1993, but this isn't fully comprehensive. It's only 4 discs and it's missing many of Otis's songs. I am unable to find a complete recording. Can anyone help?

I would like to add that I am looking for a title and label of a compilation if it exists, not just a suggestion on where I could find it. I've looked at amazon.com and bn.com and haven't been able to find anything. If you know of a complete recordings compilation, please give me the title of it and label. And I have already looked at CD stores for it. I would need some type of information to order it. Thank you for your help.

I'm also a huge Otis Redding fan, and so far the best compilation of his music is a 3 CD box called,
"The Otis Redding Story" (Atlantic 81762-2).
It has all of his major hits, B sides, duets with Carla Thomas, and even a radio commercial, where Otis improvises a song telling kids to stay in school.
The Elektra box, even though it had 4 discs, isn't as good as the 60 tracks on the Atlantic set. Atlantic did a better job of song selection and remastering, but skimped on the booklet and notes.
