4 months ago i got my nose pierced... And today for some reason it decided to react, My nose is incredibly swollen, to the point i cant even move the ring. The BONE even hurts to poke, and It has its own freaking heartbeat. I went the piercer and they said it was an allergic reaction to the metal and they are making me a new ring. However, they arnt sure how long its going to take. Pretty much, I dont wanna deal with this pain over a simple piercing. What would happen if i TRIED to take out the jewlerly? And just .. let it grow. Or would tha tbe a bad idea since its all swollen and junk.. Its not an infection. Its not red or ozzing anything. Its just swollen and extremly painful

I think you should take it out. Also, your piercer doesn't sound very good to me, they should have examined it and given you a new one on the spot. They should be well aware of the fact that some people are sensitive to certain metals. It could very well be infected.

However, your body is reacting badly to it and it should be taken out. If you are in a lot of pain I would definitely go see a doctor. I would also definitely consider another piercer.

Why in the world does your piercer not have jewelry on hand for piercing if he is a professional. Even if you wanted something special removing the jewelry that is irritating you is way more important. Why would a piercer use junk metal anyways. Never go back to this person they are clueless.

If you want to keep the piercing go to a place that sells real piercing jewelry. You want something made of Niobium. Titanium, Gold 14K or higher or Platinum. Sterling silver should not be used in fresh piercings and nothing with copper, nickel or a whole slew of other metals.

To get the bump to go down and clean the area soak the area in warm salt water.

Removing the jewelry and letting it grow up is fine.

If you can't get out the ring because it is so swollen, please, go to the doctor asap before you cause damage to your nose. Even if you can get it out, go see a doctor please. I have piercings, it is nothing to mess around with. It's not worth getting sick over or possibly causing damage to your face. It could be nothing, but then again, the only way to find out is a visit to the doctor. good luck

you nonetheless have serveral concepts... Sterling Silver, Platinum, Gold, stainless-metallic. the precedence is you basically choose a nickel loose cloth on your studs and earings. the superb way is to seem for the nickel loose label or stay faraway from any earings that are plated. at the same time as metallic is plated it in many circumstances is going with the help of three platings. the first is in many circumstances copper, said with the help of nickel, then finally, Gold, Silver, or Chrome. The copper is what in many circumstances turns your pores and skin eco-friendly. So basically stay faraway from plated earrings, and seem for the nickel-loose label.
