While walking, there is pain in the heals (botton of the feet). The pain persisted for about 02 months. It has healed on its own, but there is a chance it may reoccur if proper precautions are not taken. I walk and exercise regularly.

It may be your shoes. You might want to invest in some new comfortable shoes that will save your heals. Maybe check out orthotics.

Could be plantar fasciitis. this can come and go on its own, but almost always WILL return. if it does, you need to see a podiatist (foot doctor). There are many treatments. One of the best things you can do is wear shoes with a high rounded arch. Best are Cherokee rockers. They are available many places on line in different styles, and maybe in local stores too. Wearing these may help prevent a reoccurance of the pain. Also, you can do exercises to stretch the sole of the foot. one is to put your legs straight out in front of you then bring your toes toward your head. Hold the stretch several minutes and repeat several times. Do this before getting out of bed and before standing up from a chair. See website below for more info.

It could be your shoes. Make sure you have supportive shoes, especially when you are on your feet walking or extended periods of time. There are also insoles you can get for your shoes at any drugstore that might help. If it becomes extreme it could be a heel spur and you may need to see a doctor, but just aching you probably just need to look at the shoes you are wearing.

I was overweight and once I lost 20 lbs the pain went away, so I am thinking it was my weight. if it isn't your weight, try getting new shoes or those gelling soles.
