we did and still do, my son is 26 months old. I have heard that it isn't good because they inhail the powder cloud and it can cause respiratory problems. I avoid that by using a roll on dry powder in the diaper bag and hod the powder close enough that I don't make a powder cloud at home.

My friend never used it, she just used lotion but then again her daughter had a lot of diaper rashes. She might have been able to avoid that by using a little powder.

I had to use baby powder in the summer on my son the first year because it was soo hot and the windows couldn't be left open because of animals outside and inside. He got heat rash on his back and stomach. The dr told me to bathe him up to 2 times a day in luke warm water with a moisturizer in the bath and to keep his skin dry with baby powder just rubbing it on.

Baby powder used on baby girls is not a good idea. There as been a connection found between baby powder on baby girls and those girls getting ovarian cancer later in life. I wouldn't use it. Try Huggies Liquid Powder instead.

I have a six month old and have never used it. My son has never had diaper rash. The pediatrician and the books I read said that using baby powder was an outdated idea and had no real value.

Baby powder for an adult is ok. But for an infant it is not. The particles in the powder can infiltrate baby's lungs. Cornstarch is a better alternative.

I use baby powder on my daughter she's a year old and it helps when she has a diaper rash. In fact that's the only time I use it is when she has a diaper rash. The next time I go to change her it's gone!

I didn't on my newborn, because the doctor said not to. She said that the dust that comes from the powder can be inhaled in the baby's lungs and that's it's harmful.

We do with every diaper change- we use the kind with cornstarch. I think it does help-our son rarely gets rashes... and if so, we use Balmex to help that, and it goes away fairly quickly. I just make sure the puff from the powder doesn't get in our son's face, that's all.

You should not use baby powder on an infant - they could inhale it and get sick. You should use a lotion or cream instead.

I dont really use it. It can be dangerous if a baby inhales it. But if you want to use it try the liquid. I believe it is Huggies that makes it.
