because if I am mad the people that know me can just push those buttons and then I am not mad anymore AND IT PISSES ME OFF!

Okay...but the real Question here is:
Do you have the words "Made in Hong Kong" tattooed on your butt? Do your same friends compliment you for either a) looking so "shiny and new" or b) coming with all the pink plastic accessories?
*rofl* =)) I am so sorry, I couldn't resist here. I shouldn't make fun....I mean, everyone has *emotional* buttons that can be pushed even if they aren't so literally, um, toylike. Don't hit me! Ow!
But yeah....maybe you might want to do a search for "self-help authors" who know a thing or two about "boundaries". You know, just so you can informally pick up a coping skill or three that lets you proactively tell folks (ahead of time) "No, don't do that, I am going to be *more* upset with you in the long run if you do..." It just sounds like people are sort of manipulating you for their benefit without any respect for your feelings and well, there are ways around that to *get* people to respect your emotional head-space.
Or maybe you just need to put a big Post-It Note on your back saying "Real Person Here, Not a Toy" or some such. ;)

Yeah, I'm an "easy to handle" device. No instructions needed for operating. Those buttons are easy to find and remember.

That's a good way to put it. Yes, I have buttons, some are more prominently displayed than others. (We'd have to be really close for you to find "some" of them) Know what I mean?
