if loosing power at the same time as push on acc, you're sucking air, so that you've extra air to gasoline ratio. i'd pop the hood and pay interest to the engine and word in case you may listen any air leaks like a vacuum hose which could not connected.. on chevs I have stumbled on cat converters clogging up and it clog up your exhaust.. that too would reason it to drown the engine in case you press the gas pedal. very few options

i own a repair shop, and it sounds like you may have a catalytic converter going bad on it,,its starving for air and cant get none, its wont run long like this either, it may stop, all together if that's it,,you might want to also check the gas filter in it,,it may be just about stopped up solid on it,,,and there's the timing also that can be off,it needs to be checked out real good to see for sure, what it is,,it may be something that is going to be cheap to repair right now,,but if it goes all the way out ,you,ll pay more to get it repaired,,good luck hope this help,s.,happy new years.

It might be your fuel injectors. I have a 6 cylinder and the same thing happened. I had to replace all 6 fuel injectors then I could excelerate and go.

Time to take it either to a mechanic or the junk yard.
Fuel system seems to be malfunctioning.
