I believe it can happen. My best friend, who I've known over 10 yrs, is a woman & happily married. I was even her "man of honor" at her wedding. What do you think?

yea men and women can be close friends... some of my close friends are guys and i can trust them more than i can trust some of my close girl friends. Its good to have a variety of friends i mean just remember that this girl is married so dont get too close but sure you can be close friends.

dont let anybody tell you differently
if you have known her for that long i would feel very lucky to have kept a friend for that long.

Yes they can be, but the spouses need to be included in the friendship on some level. If for no other reason then to keep the jealous level to a min. Even if nothing ever happened between the "close" friends, someone will think it has. Keeping the spouses included will minimize it.But once that accusation is tossed out there, there will be lots of heart ache.

Ask yourself this question if she wasn't married could you continue to be her friend without even once thinking about getting with her. What does your friend look like? That may be why you can consider her a friend. Its easy now to continue being just her friend ,her husband is blocking! When a man meets a woman friendship is the last thing on his mind. You and I both know men are very sexual beings and they're not looking for friends. Ask yourself this question could you be friends with Jessica Simpson's, Beyonce or Halle Berry you just answered your own question.

Absolutely! I find that most of my close friends, the ones I know I can count on no matter what are male. I have always been this way. The one thing I must warn you about is that a boundary line needs to be made. If you cross that line and become intimate at any point it will not work. When things end you will have lost your friend as well so be careful!

yes they sure can. I love all friendships. Especially ones like this. I think it is wonderful that you guys have held on to such a precious friendship. I have many guy friends. Good close guy friends. And I am married.
There should be more female male relationships without the concerns of sexual tensions.

I think to an extent they can, but try not to get too close or the romantic juices might start to flow and you could jeopardize the friendship. It also becomes difficult if you have a significant other because they might start to get a little jealous. It's possible but you have to work very hard to keep just a friendship.

Have you ever seen "When Harry Met Sally"? I had to give up my best friend of 15 years because I wanted to keep things just friends. I missed out and now he's married to someone else. They always say you should marry your best friend........
