milk tums divol
i know what you are going through i had the worst heart burn i had to sit up on bed to sleep. I asked this question about 8 weeks ago and lots of people said drink milk and eat a piece of bread. I found that a teaspoon of Diavol helped alot. ask your doctor he/she will have something for you most likely give you samples at the office. stay away from chocolate and Pepsi I found that was what caused my heartburn to be at it worst in the last few weeks of my pregnancy.

GIIIIRL! I had the SAME thing starting at about two months! It lasted the rest of my pregnancy and I tell you what, I took stock out on tums! I ate that stuff like candy! NOTHING helped! I could drink a glass of water and get heartburn and nausea! The only thing that kept me sane was workouts. It took my mind off of the heartburn. Hang in there! It's all worth it in the end when you're holding your beautiful baby! It got so bad for me I used to sit and cry cause I was so frustrated! I thought that my digestive system would never be the same even after my boy was born, but as SOON as they got him out ( and yes I had a c-section too) the heartburn went A-WAY Woo! I was never so happy then I was when I felt like a normal person again!

I had 2 high risk pregnancy's and heartburn so bad I thought I would die from it before I could have the baby's.My Dr gave me the OK to take pepcid ac it worked great and I was so much better. Also heartburn is an indication that the baby will be born with a head of hair.

I know what you mean. I had horrible heartburn when I was pregnant with my son. I ended up having my mom come over and sit with me a few nights because I was home alone (Daddy worked 3rd shift) and I thought I was going into labor it was so painful. I found that tums worked great and Ice Cream helped too. It seemed to cool it down a bit. I hope you feel better soon though.

An old wives tale says that if you get a lot of heartburn your baby will have a full head of hair.
I get heartburn all the time as well, so I know what you are going thru.

Oh jeesh...The heartburn at the end of any pregnancy sucks! it just gets so bad...for me I could barely eat...my doctor told me to put something solid under my mattress..but nothing soft.. to make it at an incline...so i took a piece of hard foam...cut it at a slant..and cut it to fit my mattress..put it under...and it worked great...also..dont eat anything 1 hour before going to bed...and take some antiacids...ask your dr and he will recommend one for you! Good luck with the Csection and congrats!

Take ant-acids, they are fine for use in pregnancy and can be found at any supermarket/pharmacy.
I used the fruit flavoured ones from tesco, but try a few different ones to see what works for you. Milk helps, if you can stomach it :)
Failing that, ask for a prescription from your doctor :)

Just get the biggest bottle of tums you can get they won't hurt the baby and they are good for you because of the calcium in them. They work like a charm I used them with my pregnancy
