What do you think every teen should do at some point? Things everyone should experience, or at least that you enjoyed/learnt from?

And... being in my late teens, my contribution would be:
-Read some holy books (I'm not even religious)
-Travel as much as possible, with friends if possible (it's tougher to be independant with family)
-Get a good deal of boyfriends/girlfriends (but not all at the same time!)
-Really connect with your friends, especially the ones you plan to stay in contact with
-Learn a musical instrument
-Develop your tastes (such as clothing, music, food, girls/guys. I think it's important to realise what kind of person you are.)
-Drink
-Do Weed (Yes, I know it is illegal, but it was an important thing for me. It made me realise a lot of -good- things.)

Get a summer job in a place you've never been. For example, you could work as a camp counselor.

Here are some sites to check out:

Work at a fast food restuarant. It will teach you 2 things.
1. you never want to work somewhere like that again so you need to go to college so you can get a good job and
2. some people who didnt stay in school or didnt have the opportunities you had are still stuck working in a crappy fast food restaurant and they arent teenagers anymore(scary).

although im not at the adult age, i can tell that the one thing adults wish they had done when they were younger, is acting their real age...what i mean by that is when you're a teenager you tend to try and act more grown up and adultlike then you really need to be..just loosen up...there will be lots of years when you can act like an adult but only a little part of your life that you can act as a real teen...just relax, have a good dose of fun (not too much), and loosen up...go to camp, joke around with friends, and then you can act like a grown up

Spend time *really* getting to know your grandparents. Once you are off to college and onto life, it might be years before you think you ought to, and by then, they may be gone.

Visit them often. Write letters & save them. Call.
