Oh come on, what would life be without a good carry on? The great musicals like chitty chitty bang bang, and the beatles?
Anyone see Angela Lansbury as Queen Anne in the three muskateers over xmas or Mackauly Culkin as the nutcracker with the New York Ballet 1994 version?

Nah, the best singers are african american, or welsh, the best rock groups are american, there are some really good groups from the UK, agree with that, but without England I don't think the rest of the worlds music is crap. I prefer British comedy, like Peter Kaye and Catherine Tate, but some of the best sit coms are American, Everybody love Raymond, Frasier, Friends etc. But then Fawlty Towers is one of the best sitcoms, ever. There is some great English stuff, but The rest of the world has good stuff too.

I wouldn't say that. Most of the great comics have been American, with the exception of Monty Python of course.
However the music coming over used to be pretty good, however lately pretty much all music worldwide is pre-canned comercial crap.

you are so right , for Christmas i got given Monty Python the Movies and I'm ashamed to say that i had never watched thees be-for , for some reason they do not repeat them on TV , i have not laughed so much in years ,The life of Brian ! ! i new the song, who doesn't but the film is so much more than just that song ! and the special on thees movies are out of this world it is some thing that every one should have in their DVD collision.

great as england is, it is not the alpha and omega of comedy and music. holy cow...look around you and appreciate the rest of the world for the joke that it is.

Not true. Comedy and music existed long before the Anglo-Saxons, and the word "good" is relative to the person. Personally I think British music and comedy are both horrible, but that's my opinion.
