Well I think you should take him back. My boyfriend cheated on me and I took him back and things are still great between us. On a spiritual note. The BIBLE says a man will mess up 7 times before he gets it right. (but I wouldn't be that dumb to stay that long.) If you love him work it out, if you don't and want to do better kick him to the curb. Be true to you and the answer is in the clear.

Sorry to hear about the upset over the holiday season, but the new year is coming and that means time to change things for the better, kick him to the curb so that by this time next year you should not have to worry about the creep.

It depends on how he feels.
If you found out from someone else, and he doesn't regret it dump him.
If he told you and feels really bad about it, and honestly regrets it you can try to work through it.
As for once a cheater, always a cheater... I don't necessarily agree. Sometimes we make mistakes... it's just a matter of whether he regrets it and realizes it's a mistake or if it was a fun thing for him.

leave him now, get away from this bf, He will continue to cheat on you as long as you, will believe his lies and stories. pretty ourselve up , there are many BF out there. And you will find the boyfriend that will love you dear.
