I am black, and I just felt like putting something out into the open. Everyone here in North America makes it look like racism is a North America problem, but the truth is that although there are MANY racist N.As, other regions are a lot more racist. I have traveled to China, Spain, Italy and Egypt. If you think that North Americans are racist, go to China, Spain or Italy and you will find out what real racism is.

We still have a huge problem here in North America, but we should congratulate ourselves on being miles ahead of the rest of the world.

Let me know what you guys think of this.

Well I am happy with all of the positive responses. All I wanted to do was to remind everyone that racism is a human problem and not a white phenomenon, and obviously everyone is well aware of that. Having said that, not many people have acknowledge the obvious fact that racism is even more prevelant among minorities. Meaning Asian vs Black (and vice versa), Black Versus Latino, Latino Versus white. Trust me, I am black and well aware of the fact that there are still racist white people, but that problem is addressed a lot in the media and out in the public. One thing that is not addressed often is racism by minorities directed at both other minorities and other whites.

Everywhere you go, Racism/White supremacy is in full effect.

If you are black, you are on the bottom.

White = Alright
Brown = Stick Around
Yellow = Mellow Fellow
Black = Step back

We all remember this saying. Sure this is elementary but my point is that this was set up all around the world so if Chinese or Arabs or Spanish people form Spain hate us, it is nothing more than White Supremacy.

Yes, it is a human issue. I have seen and heard even people of "minorities" be extremely racist towards others and those of their own race. Black people included. Sure, I feel a little uncomfortable with some people, but I've had some good friends that were black, Asian, or Hispanic. I think there's a valid point in mentioning someone's skin color when a crime is involved (people can't easily change their skin color) but otherwise I look at how they act.
Usually if I rude to someone of another race, it's because they're acting rude themselves or taking a "I'm a victim so I should get free **** or respect" attitude.

You are right however its more to it. America has gotten better from what it was like 20-30 years ago. There is less racism but more hate. And if anybody thought racism was just in N.As they are real naive or stupid.

Two reasons we are better:
1. We have laws against it.
2. As people get more educated, it becomes less of an issue on our minds. All groups. We start worrying more about making money, than looking for people to hate.

My grandmother had very little education. She was VERY VERBAL with her opinions about blacks. All negative. My mother was high school educated, she had no opinion or thoughts about the subject. She did not trust blacks, but she did not say anything about them to me or my dad.
I went to college. I work with a BIG group of different minorities, all of us talk about movies, money, retirement, theme parks, etc. We never get excited or angry about skin color. It is not important to us. Funny, though, we all tell ethnic jokes, about ALL groups, and we ALL find the jokes funny. Including white jokes. I have heard a LOT of very funny white jokes. Some are very good, great punch-lines.

I think when you judge our country by comparing it with china, you end up slipping backward like Guantanamo Bay, etc. We should instead compare ourselves to what we want to be.

The problem with what you suggest is that some people who are racist will use that comparison as a reason to stop and not try to keep moving forward and making our country/region even greater.

Its the sins of the daddy subject. We white dermis human beings are being punished for what we are saying, we would desire to continually be very careful. I labored in an extremely multicultured place and that i became uncomfortable whilst speaking approximately race matters. yet all muslims, blacks, asians, packistanis, etc the place effective with it, even speaking approximately whites. I if'd and butted, and that they stated merely spit it out, I shouldn't experience uncomfortable. So I did. Race hate is stupid besides, dermis colour ability all and sundry is screwed up? Thats the dumbest subject i've got ever heard.

I agree with this sediment. One aspect people forget is that everyone is racist to some extent, EVERYONE. Some try harder then other to hide this but fact remains that racism is an ugly fact of life. The true difference, I feel, is how some people react to those feelings of racism.

Racism will alway occur as long a God is making babies. You can't stop it or eliminate it, it is part of your life, your nature, your being. It is not a black thing, it exists all over the world.

I am white. I was not aware that in some areas in the rest of the world racism is worse than it is here.

Maybe our country really is progressing.
