Remember that scene where George Bailey is dancing with his soon to be wife in the high school gym and the floor opens up to reveal a swimming pool? Is that a fabrication? Was that the cutting edge technology at the time then they realized the wood floor warped from the pool water so that it wasn't a good idea? Any examples still in existance?

Yes as a matter of a fact it does exist, (or at least used to) in a real high school - Beverly Hills High School in LA.

I know it was over the pool at Beverly Hills High School. I do not know if it still exists
