What do you think is too much of an age difference between a couple? I like a guy but there is a 12 year age difference and I think this is too much? What do you think?

I would say 15-20 years will make a huge difference as time goes by.

It's entirely circumstantial. If you are 18 and he is 30, I'd say you're at two different points in your life and probably don't have much in common. For instance, you're just getting your toes wet in the real world and he's been there for a long time, probably has a steady job and maybe a house or condo. Now, if you're 33 and he's 45, you would probably have more in common and it may work out. It really just depends on a lot of things. If you feel he's too old for you (and make sure he doesn't have a thing specifically for much younger women because eventually you'll get older too) then do what your head tells you.

it all depends on your upbringing, and what you and your family think about it. I'm dating a man that's 7 years older.
the older you get the less it matters about the gap. If you are say 18 and you're thinking of dating a 30 year old, to most people it would seem bad. but if your 25 and you're dating a 37 year old it doesn't look as wrong to some people.

I'd say if he's a good guy and your comfortable and happy with him, then go for it!

The Age of Consent varies by state but 18 is always legal age, so it will be OK as soon as you turn 18 no matter where you live. I think as long as you are both comfortable with it, then don't worry about what others think.

Depends on your age dear! I am 30 & my husband is 44 so we have a 14 year age difference. if you are over the age of 18 no big deal, but if you aren't stay away from him! at least until you are over 18.

That is a big difference - maybe too big. But, it makes more difference if the girl is 19 and the guy 21 than if the girl is 40 and the guy is 52. The difference is experience.

It depends on a lot of things. What are your ages and maturity levels and do you want the same things out of life. It is the same regardless of the age difference.
I am 11 years older than my husband and we get along better than any couple I have every known. We have been married for 7 years.

The French have a saying "A woman should be twice as young as a man plus seven." So if the man is 50 years old, he should date a woman who is 25 plus 7, thus 32 years old.

Why does everyone who asks this question not post their ages???
think about 20 years from now, and guys lose their sex drives before woman usually, so unless he is 12 years younger or you want a short fling, keep looking
