You shouldn't like or hate artist because of their political views, you should like them or dislike them because of their talent.

Just because someone has different political views doesn't make them a bad person. You wouldn't want someone to hate you for the same reason.

Why not just like their music because it's good music? Hating someone, even if for political reasons is fairly shallow. Heck! Hate is fairly shallow, period. Just listen to what's good. Your ear will tell you that much.
