Is it safe to take tyrenol during pregnancy?
I am 5wks pregnant and I ran fever from the cold around 98.5-99.9 So, I took Tyrenol after I couldn't stand any more. Usual recommend dosage is 650mg, but I only took 325mg-one tablet.
I don't really use a lot of medicie unless I feel real dreadful.
Can you plz advise? Thanks!

there is a small list of meds that a preggo woman can take, tylenol is one of the most safest. but do not take advil, cold medicine (except sudafed) anything but those 2 raise your blood pressure so high that u get pre-eclampsia, which is very serious and can cause your baby health issues now up until and after delivery and can hospitalize you. no more than a 1000 mg at a time every 4-6 hours,,,,,,thats what all the dr's said when i was preggo 9 months ago. If u dont have a dr then aska pharmacist

Taking Tylenol is safe during pregnancy. I took it after I got an okay from my doctor due to arthritis. Though I only took a small amount and not very often maybe once or twice a week was all I would allow (but that was my preference for me).

Ask your doctor for professional advice, but from my experience as a mom yes it is safe to use only low doses of Tylenol you should get the Tylenol regular strength (325mg each tablet) at your local pharmacy.....

Try this website it has lots of information about pregnancy stuff.... (below)

I don't think that will hurt anything, as long as it isn't on a regular basis. Tylenol can damage the liver, but a few pills over a year shouldn't have any effect.
My most important advice would be to get to a Doctor or Health Department for good prenatal care as soon as you possibly can. THAT will help you have the healthiest baby possible. GOOD LUCK! Take care and both of you be well!

Tylenol is perfectly safe to take. I'd ask your OB to be sure, though.

98.5 is not a fever! 99.9 is barely anything to worry about. I wouldn't even take the Tylenol unless your temperature goes 101 or over.

I think they say to not take Ibuprophen if you're pregnant.

safe but in moderation, always ask your ob before you take any med during pregnancy cause what is right for me and other people on here mayn't be recommend by your doctor for you. It most cases regular strength Tylenol is cool. good luck to you and enjoy your pregnancy. i miss it i have my 3 week old baby boy laying on my tummy right now it is wonderful.

While tylenol is safe for most pregnant women, it is best to discuss anything with your doctor. On one of my visits, I was given a list by my doctor for every safe medication I could use for every kind of ailment that there is. It is best to discuss any kind of meds with your doctor, just to be on the safe side.
