Yes, go for it. As well as the extra money, putting it on your resume will help you get a job after you graduate, especially if you can get a good reference.

Show enthusiasm, show them you're not just another sulky teen who doesn't give a damn for the job and is only there for the money. Employers want someone who'll turn up on time, present a good image of the store, and work competently. If you've had any positions of responsibility (team captain etc), use these as examples.

I would not suggest working for Wal-Mart. There company has went downhill since Mr. Walton died. Many of their employees have been overlooked for promotions and sued the company. Unless you are in a very small town, then you should try to find a position with another company. I would also let you know that Walmart pays around $6.50 an hour. If you have Publix in your area, then you might want to try them. The pay their employees more and you receive premium pay for working on Sundays. Hope that helps!

I think you can do it... I spent a great amount of time studying Sam Walton, his philosophy in business, and how Wal-Mart is run.

I must stress the fact that they want an employee who's 100% success and customer driven. While your work may not involve direct customer interaction, Wal-Mart will want to see you with a passion to work for them. They want a team member; somebody who wants to work for something other than just money.

Goodluck!

Go apply. It will be good experience whether you get the job or not. You have experience and most Walmarts work with students. Everytime you apply for a job you learn things to apply to the next time. If you get the job and they offer stock, buy it.

You will never know until you go and make a job application at one of the stores. Don't expect a salary more than min. wage.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Apply if you want. Probably minimum wage.
If I were you though, I try Target first. They are more "employee friendly".
I would NEVER work for
Walmart!

It sounds like you'd be a good candidate for the job. Put in your application and see what happens.

Good luck.
