I personnally am a big fan of gorilla glue (can be bought at the Home Depot). I use it to fix or "prep" my kids' toys so they won't fall apart - I even fixed so flooring with it and it seems to make any kind of surface bond. It does take 24 hours to dry.

Contact cement (also used to glue laminate countertops to the base)

Craft cement works best.... I buy mine at Walmart in the crafts section. Sometimes it is also called jewelry cement. It comes in a metal tube like toothpaste. I can't remember the exact name but something like D-57.
