You can only get pregnant when sperm reaches an egg ready to be fertilized. In a female, an egg is normally released in the middle of your cycle- "ovulation." Sperm can live in the human body for 4 days. However- like everyone says, it is highly unlikely, but possible. You can take a pregnancy test at least 5 days before your next period. If you miss your period, take another one. If you have your period, you might have been lucky this time.

ovulation is the key to pregnancy (it takes about 7 days from the last day of menstruation). though its occurence differ from individual to individual. however there are those few excemptions that has multiple ovulations within a cycle and could get pregnant even while their menstruation is on
