I cant believe how close minded and stupid an educated society can be .All these people that say no .Not one person gave any legitement reason for not legalizing them based on and fact .
1. It would stop people buying who knows what on the street made by people that don't know what they are doing or care
2.It would be made by a chemist and sold by a pharmacy much safer
3 You would know how strong the dosage was every time
4You would have to be of legal age to buy it instead of unscrupulous people on the street selling them to any one with money
5. You would be able to monitor how much some one was taking
6 Its pretty ignorant when some one is termanally ill and cant relieve their pain and suffering by what ever helps them feel better with out getting arrested .
7 It would save thousands of kids lives buyig junk on the street never knowing what it is or how stong it is from over doses
8 It would elliminate the corruption in our police that is in every law enforcement organization in the country now
9 It would relieve our prisons which are fulll of nonviolent drug offenders
!0 It would end the violence and gangs that feed on money from the high street prices
11 It could be taxed and provide revenue
12 The drug war has been going on for 30 years and cost hundreds of thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars and hasn't changed anything ,but destroyed lives
!3 Almost 80 percent of the population smoked cigerettes and has gone now to about 15 percent through education about them not prisons
14 The government propaganda has been proven by research studies to push more kids to drugs than away from them do to the exaggerated effects they advertise
I could go on and on and on but whats the point , if people are to dumb to understand or see it and the only reason the have not to legalize them is ( Um they are bad for you ) Give me some facts to support your beliefs

Why don't you mention some? Putting drugs more accessible isn't the solution. If right now there are children having access to it, Can you imagine how many more will? Would you want your son or daughter to be a drugs' addict? Do you think things will get better permitting drugs to be sale even in a candy store? The best solution is to learn that drugs kill, not just physically, but relationships as families, jobs, social status, etc.

If California is going forward with their plan to legalize pot, a good bite of the subject with the Mexican drug commerce might leave in one day! California has already drawn up a plan and a invoice has been drafted to bypass with the aid of next 365 days's state legislature (it became interior the information final week). The sales tax earnings on my own might wipe out the state deficit interior one 365 days. There could be extensive added reductions from help of penal complex overcrowding because of the fact human beings in penal complex on marijuana offenses might must be freed. With California offering legal weed, there could be NO unlawful call for for weed in one total state with a Mexican border. And marijuana could be taxed and controlled with the aid of the government, merely like cigarettes and alcohol. this suggests age limits on sale and intake, and additionally testing interior the region of work if and whilst mandatory (I even have had to bypass with the aid of drug and alchohol testing for my job for years, so it makes no difference to me).

Yes, no one wants to discuss the problems being caused
by them being illegal.
And just think how much more money the gov. could make
by taxing the crap out of them.
But, we are paying to keep people in prison for one
marijuana joint - of which I would prefer not to do!
But as long as they're illegal, I think the time is way over due
for our gov. employees to be drug tested. Maybe that would
explain some of their actions.

Either legalize it and tax the hell out of it, or don't legalize it. I think it's better to keep illegal, because that's what's keeping some kids away from it. Maybe if we put limits on it...

Legalize all drugs? I dunno.
I support legalizing marijuana.
I'm a rare marinjuana user (less than five times a year).
I think there are better ways to spend money than in policing and legal costs for small marijuana offenses.
Starla should refrain from insults.

Only problem is that there would still be a street market for drugs. If govt regulators have control of say, weed, the THC level would be crap, and people would go to something "harder" to get their high. So it's a catch 22.
People would still abuse it, we'd still have addicts, and a black market for it, what's the difference? Oh, jail time. wow

You people will never learn! Who is going to hire you? My business gets discounts on my insurance do to the fact I have mandatory drug testing to get hired and random testing through the month. It protects the other workers and myself from being sued for injuries caused by someones carelessness! This will continue if they legalized it! You would not be hired and you would be fired!
