http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth

"Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless personal area networks (PANs). Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices such as mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers, digital cameras and video game consoles via a secure, globally unlicensed short-range radio frequency."

It can come in many forms like a wireless earpiece for cellphones, to start a car up, for a gps system for computers, for cellphones to send and receive information. Etc

Bluetooth is that stupid ear-phone thing that people wear constantly because it makes them feel rich and important. Funny thing is, you never see any rich or important people wearing them.
