What planet do you live on.
The Catholic church gave us the Inquisition, Bartholomew's day massacre, burnt several hundred people as witches and so on. Catholic doctrine is death to the heretic.
And since when are the Republicans Catholic, i always thought they were good old American wasps.

Whats your point?
just because a state is predominately republican, or predominately democratic, does not mean that everyone in those states believes in the death award. What political leanings did those states have when they adopted the death award?
saddam is being executed in Iraq! Sentenced to death by an Iraqi court! Has nothing to do with democrat or republican. Has everything to with the PEOPLE of Iraq telling the next person who wants to rule them under a dictatorship "Stop, we won't tolerate your kind anymore"
And that is exactly what we need to be doing more of here in the good ole u.s.of a. You kill somebody and you will hang within thirty days. Has nothing to do with religion.
Why do liberals think it is OK to kill babies, but murderers should get a free ride?

I don't care what any book says including the "bible" Saddam is evil and should have been put to death immediately upon his capture! Don't believe me? Try talking to some of the people the survived his reign of terror!

I think they are just being way to nice to ole Saddam, if it were up to me he would be taken to the desert, stripped naked and tied to a big cactus, then I would pour honey on him and let nature take its course, yes I do believe in God, not Saddam

I never claimed to be religious! I believe in the death penalty for seriously heinous crimes. Most people I would just let sit in prison for their crimes, which is far worse.
