With their very poor run production they will be VERY lucky to finish in second in the west.. One pitcher does not a team make... I know they still have Lowery but he is still suspect in the mid innings...

Yes I do. Barry Zito will bring the Giants much more wins than Jason Schmidt did. Plus, if Bonds plays as well as he played in the latter part of the season, the Giants should be in decent shape.

The NL West is always a tough division to predict. They should finish no worse than third with Zito in the rotation.

Yes, they will finish higher in their division. Zito will not make them a World Series contender, but he will help them climb out of the cellar.

They might improve on their record. But, I don't see how Zito's inconsistency is going to help the Giants win their division with the Dodgers and Padres also in it.

Barry Zito was signed as a free agent not in a trade.
I think they won't be in last place but they still will be behind Los Angelas and San DIego.
