Here are some ideas:
- Try looking for a BNI group in your area. They are located all over the US and the world. (www.BNI.com) They are a business networking group that meets weekly.
- Join a woman's networking group.
- Join the Chamber of Commerce in your area.
- Hold beauty seminars at your home or at the library. The Chamber of Commerce may even have a conference room for you to use.
I am a small business owner and was a wall flower. It was hard for me to get out there and talk to people. But joining those groups really helped me and now I can't shut up!!
Good luck!

Hi
All these people are so negative. I have been in Mary Kay almost 2 years. A great way to get women to come to YOU (which is SO much easier!) is have a basket with some sample products in little decorative bags. Attach a sign to the basket that says "Free Samples." Women will walk up and ask for one. Like magic. Then you get their info, and book an appointment.
If you are going outto run household errands, be in Mary Kay business attire, and wear a pin that says "Ask Me For Free Samples" and have a few of those cellophane wrapped samples in your purse. Then, if someone asks, get their info, book an appointment, and keep moving through your day.
Good luck!!!

it is not a scam even inspite of the shown fact that it somewhat is annoying artwork it somewhat isn't any lie basically on the instant up an trouble-free it somewhat is like nay different interest or employer! you will desire to artwork it to run it and shop shop open! Mk has been the #a million dermis take care of years now and it somewhat is an incredible product it does sale it-self! the only different between Mk product and anybody else is the over head and the "loss of a private journey" and Mk has a $ lower back assure. If it became a glorified scam they'd not have this supply nevertheless to many human beings including the employer could be broke via now!!!

You have identified the problem with why you haven't made much money at it ... low self esteem. How do you expect customers to have confidence in you if you don't have confidence in yourself or your products? I am not trying to be mean by saying that. Why not take some kind of class (business expense) at a local community college? You'll meet new people to talk to and learn more about selling, makeup, business, or whatever course you take. If you don't have passion for the products you are selling, you won't be able to sell them... period. Move on to something that sparks excitement when you talk about the items. That spark is contageous.

Being in sales, if you are shy and have trouble closing the sale, this endeavor is not for you. Some people may give you suggestions but you will still struggle being successful. Find something you like to do and you will be successful at it.
We are all born with a natural talent...you just need to find yours.

I for one don't like Mary Kay, I love Bare Minerals. Maybe you should find another job. One that suits you more.

why dont you talk to people know, dont pressure them, but give them a catalog to look at. maybe give them samples and stuff. there's no need to be shy, your just doing your job. if you see someone looking ugly, offer to give them a makeover. chances are you'll make them look at least a little better than how they look now, and they'll feel like they should buy stuff from ya. hope this helps!
