If you look at the games over the past few nights several games have been decided by bad calls or non calls by offcials in the closing minutes of games. And let's not forget the grapple in the apple and the brawl at the palace were results of players feeling that refs had let the game get out of hand.

Absolutely. Ever since the days of Michael Jordan, refs have been known for going spineless when it comes to making calls on star players. Jeff Van Gundy knew this, argued about it and was fined a record $100,000 because of it. Refs were especially soft around Micheal Jordan when Jordan would push around players and would foul them but, was never called for a foul. However, if someone goes as far as to touch Jordan, they would be called instead and in the rare occasions that Jordan does get called which is incredibly rare, he would act like a crybaby about it. The NBA must do something about it and SOON.

I think officiating is a really tough job. It would be impossible to be perfect at it. They try their best and do a good job so everybody ought to be happy. It usually works out.
