Yes, sometimes the Yahoo! Spell Check tells you," No misspellings found," even if there are misspellings, which is because some of the wrong words you typed might still be real words but not those you mean. (I tried spell-checking the sentence:" Eye heave tied it's in it wax fin!" which was posted in a previous answer and it said," No misspellings found," because each of those is still a real word).
Anyway, it doesn't matter with me because I always type my spelling correctly in the first place.

Firefox has a built in spell checker. I don't need Yahoo's spell check.

I agree - it can be really nasty at times when it comes up with alternatives that have nothing to do with the real word. Shame on Yahoo!
