On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the coolest), how much do you like metro Denver, Colorado? And why? What type person would most fit in there (Republicans, religious people, hippies, families, single people, etc.)?

I'd give it like a 9--no place is perfect. I used to go up there from Colorado Springs and always had a blast. The Galleria is great in the Downtown area and there are plenty of other malls too. LoDo has plenty of sports bars and then there is Coors Field-with a great view of the Rockies--and baseball of course, Ave's Hockey, Nuggets, Broncos, museums, galleries, a zoo, six flags Elitch Gardens. What more can you ask for? I think that Denver would be more Democratic than Republican. I think that there is room for just about everyone--I never felt it to be a "religious" place--that is more Colorado Springs with it being the "Protestant Vatican" and all. It is a great city to go to if you aren't afraid of getting out there and having some fun whether or not you are married, single, a hippy, a conservative have children or don't. Like I said, I always had a blast--then again I'm a very happy go lucky type of person who likes to have a good time and experience things.

I've been to Denver a couple of times and found it an interesting place to visit. I have no idea who would 'fit' there the best. Since I am in my 50's, what I would find 'cool' you probably wouldn't. Denver has many art galleries, restaurants, museums, etc. It was considered the last outpost of civilization between the plains and the coast of California. Depending on what you are interested in, I would say use Yahoo travel to give you some ideas on what to do/see there.

I'd give Denver a 9, but I live here so of course I like it. there are many different things to do and see and there's something for everyone. Tons of Art galleries, Night life, Mesumes, a zoo, there's even a part of Denver that's considered the "gay" part. There's truly something for everyone.

It really depends where your are from. I used to think that Denver was a big city before I went to school in Boston. If you are from a larger city (NYC, Boston, Chicago, LA, etc.) you won't find it special. It's still a growing city and has yet to develop a real flavor to it. Overall I'd give it a 5.

I've lived here off and on for 40 years and it rates a 1. If you're looking for a base to get to the mountains, a relatively cheap drunk, or a bunch of liberal transplants, this is your place. Unfortunately in life, you usually have to live where the jobs are.
