As a fan of Mr. Franken's writing, I find that the talent found in his books does not transcend into live radio. What do you think - does the guy have any skills as a broadcaster, whatsoever? Uninformed answers not appreciated.

Franken is a constant whining, complaining, liar, and that is why he and every other liberal talk show host fails. I think people are sick and tired of hearing about how bad we Americans are. According to Franken seems everything from the President to apple pie sucks. Personally, I am tired of hearing him and every other liberal "weenie" constantly trash this country with their hatred, and doom and gloom prophecies. Intelligent people know when they are being lied to and have chosen to tune out the deceit and anger that these guys spew.

I for one feel good about this country and the people in it. I am proud to be an American and I don't believe the sky is falling in. I refuse to let Franken or any of the other liberal "chicken littles" make me think otherwise. The constant negative drum beat is enough to turn anybody off... and that is just what the people have chosen to do to with Franken.

Well, despite having a face made for the radio, I would say I enjoyed him on SNL and Politically Incorrect more than on his radio show. His appearances on the latter with Arianna Huffington were quite amusing. In Clintontime he used to joke that he was just a "shill" for the Democrats, unfortunately, that was prophecy and he really has become a shill for them.

I mainly listen to his show for the guests he has on and talks to. He is good with informed people and knows how to get the best out of them. By himself, or with his current two sidekicks, he is lame and unfocused and often goes off into tangents that are a waste of time on Air America Radio. His former co-host, Catherine Lanfor (sp?) was great at keeping him focused. I miss her a lot.
