I went into the doctor today because I fell three weeks ago and if I kneel on one of my knees it shoots hot pain in my knee so he told me my knee is degenerating and if its not better in two to three weeks go see my regular doctor or the othropeidc.

Go to the orthopedic doctor, like I did and the good doctor will tell you you need an operation. Have talked to other people with the same problem, of 11 who got the operation 2 are much better, 5 are about the same and the others worse off. Get second or third opinions before agreeing to an operation.

If you fell 3 weeks ago, it did not cause your knee to suddenly degenerate. Degeneration is a slow process where the articular cartilage of the joint is worn away and there is a loss of joint space. The fall could have irritated the degenerated joint but it is also very possible that there is another problem. Forget about waiting - it has already been three weeks. Find an orthopedic surgeon and get a real diagnosis.
