Plant about 1/2 inch deeper than what it was previously planted. If in a container remove and plant slightly deeper than root collar so as to completely cover all soil attached to the tree. If not in a container you should be able to tell by looking at stem around root collar.

The top of the soil should be even with the top of the soil in the pot. I would dig a pretty good sized hole and work in some good dirt or just break up what you have. Watering is extremely important. Deep water and not again until sorta dry. Do not underwater to get it started. Look you particular palm tree up on the internet and see what is required so that it will grow well.

Hi, plant your palm tree just a little deeper than it was in the pot. You need to go three times wider than the pot. Or so they say. I just dug a big hole, made sure the dirt line didn't come above the original dirt line, put some Quick Start in it, and now it's almost doubled in size. You should give it some food for palms too.
