My daughter is a gymnasts and she has talent but she does not always focus all the time. SHe is only 7 years old and has been in gymnastics since she was 2 and loves the sport. Do you think that some children just develop metally later than others and why is that so.

Each child is different and each one has their strengths and talents. Since your daughter is only 7 I really would not worry, it sounds like she is doing just fine. I know that it is really hard not to worry when every one is so competitive these days and just love to rub in your face that their so and so is so Advanced, when in fact they relay are not. Wait until they get older, you will see what I mean. Just give her some down time and to be her self, and remember; she needs to enjoy the sport in order to do well.

It happened to me, and I now have an IQ of 180. Also, I'm an Accountant and Musician.

Just like children who develop physically later than others, they'll be fine, eventually.
