I have a wireless network that i use to split up my internet connection.
I use a Linksys Wireless-G Router and i just got my sister a new laptop. Her laptop has built in WLAN but it can't connect to the router? Is it possible to get a internet connection with her WLAN? Am i doing something wrong? If so please explain. (Both of our computers run on XP)

Should work just fine. What is the error thats coming up? Have you turned on the wireless on her laptop? Do you have WEP or WAP security enabled on the router? if yes then you need to put the security code into the laptop to make a connection.

Well before you can connect it must be shown in her network list. Do you have your broadcast SSID function on your router turned on? Also make sure the router is in mixed mode and not just broadcating in B or G mode.

first thing to do is to see if your network shows up on her wireless list and if it does not your router might be set to only g or only b make sure that it is set to mix and then make sure that if you have a mac filter enabled then make sure that you add her or diable temporarly. and it could just be a temperaly thing because i had a wireless adapter that would just not communicate with my router for nothing. try calling linksys tech suport if you think it will help
