I'm far better with remembering faces than names (I'll recognize someone as someone I have met before but may not immediately recall from where or when). The trick, I've heard, is to make a point of repeating someone's name at least three times after you first meet someone new.

Personally, I don't find anything wrong with having a selective memory ... the office manager I work with never forgets anything and trust me, it gets to be a rather annoying trait after a bit.

I have a decent memory, and I remember faces well.
If I met you in person yesterday, and see you almost everyday, I more than likely wouldn't remember your name today, or tomorrow, or next week...maybe in a month or so...lol. But then, if I don't see you for awhile, it'll all happen again. Of course all that will be completely different, if you are of the male variety, and leave a permanent and lasting impression on my brain waves.

My memnory is okay on and off and there is a problem with names and faces when I have seen certain ones in a long time and their face change and memory of their names have vanished.
