A lot of things

Hypocrites and the close-minded who don't know what they want...who are insincere...sensitive yet insensitive...opinionate... individualistic. I could ramble on about the various things that make society so wrong but I'd probably waste too much room on the individual person alone. The main problem with society is that that formless icon seems to be more important than one who lives and breathes. And the ones who feel what is wrong with society are the people who are shunned by those who accept it.

Society today is a result of the baby boomers wanting to give their children the things they didn't have and these children now expect things to be given to them constantly. They think they somehow deserve more than others when they don't. They don't want to have to work hard for anything. They love themselves more than anything else. They allow the media to do their thinking for them. Money is prime above all else. They believe in self worth over all else including the God who created them. I could go on but for what?

There is nothing happening with society today that won't happen sooner or later. As humans evolve, so do culture and society. As with certain stages in an evolutionary state, there are smooth and rough transitions, and so are changes in every culture and society.

Society is too self centered. Too many people want gratification and care less about anyone around them. If everyone gave to society and not constantly take from it, what a great place this would be to live. What happiness would abound. What love would abound.

Morals.(I can't believe nobody said that...) Everybody wants to be dysfunctional. And the art of massproduction of everything. Entertainment. Sports. Reality shows. Even religion is over produced. This makes it harder to believe in something when you are trying to live the life of somebody else instead of yours.

The same problem thats always been in humanity. Mass stupidity. People believing in false things, and avoiding truths. People who learn to love the lies and hate the truths in life.

There is a lack of belief in truth and fundamentals, and therefore most people flounder around wondering what their meaning and purpose is, or they don't treat others with the respect they inherently deserve.

Religious fanaticism is a big part of the problem. People can do anything if they think a god is on their side, or that they'll be forgiven for whatever they choose to do.
