Is there any hope of fighting a red light infraction ticket in court? I got my ticket in today's mail (OUCH) and I was caught running a red light recently (reportedly 0.3 seconds after it turned red). The police photograph clearly shows my license plate number and I'm the only one who ever drives this vehicle. Do I have any hope with arguing this in court?

If there was snow showing in the intersection, I could claim that it was safer to proceed through rather than try to stop quickly. Or, I could say there was some clown behind me who was following too closely and would rear-end me if I stopped suddenly (can't prove that story though ...).

Thanks in advance for any tips ... I would much rather not pay the fine if I don't have too ...

nope, you mind as well save you time and just pay the money. If you say it was safer for you to proceed they will think you do not have control over your vehical

Testify it was safer to run the red.
The city could put timers on yellow, saving lives, but the police have a "ticket" mindset.

No its no longer real. in spite of the undeniable fact that with the flexibility to wipe it out of your checklist with the aid of site visitors college isn't obtainable. relies upon on what the offense became. in many situations on the fee tag itself it is going to inform you, or call the Police branch that issued it. BTW maximum tickets that are contested win in courtroom.

Well you could try to fight it, or you could act like an adult, pay the ticket, and pay more attention when you drive in the future.

yes ask if the next picture shows you in the driver seat. no. seriously you can attest that steve took the car that day while you were praying or something. unless they can prove you did it nothing. i've beat that game before.
