That is just like why old people listen to rap. They dont understand half the slang they are saying. Did you ever think you might be judging somebody who is another race but know spanish? I live in texas and although I do not speak spanish I can still gather what people are saying. The beat to most latin songs is pretty cool.

Is there a law against non-latins listening to latin music? Not everybody listens to the lyrics in music. Some people just listen for the shear sound of the music. Let me give you an example. I love jazz with a lot of brass and percussion. Therefore, it's plausable that I might rather enjoy listening to Cuban artists like Arturo Sandoval.

I listen to a LOT of english-speaking songs where I have NO IDEA what they are saying. I just like to music.

Same as a lot of spanish, or even spanglish songs. I like the music.

There was a japanese song called "suyaki?" They spoke NO english, but the music was good, so the radio played it all the time.

Remember Macarana? All spanish. But I liked the music.

Because it's muy caliente! Muy sexy!

I guess cuz it shakes your body, moves your soul...why do people listen to any kind of music? You don't have to know the words to get the feeling behind it.

What, should non-Hispanic people be segregated, kept away from Latin musica? Unfair!

It has to be because they like it. I listen to the Metropolitan Opera's radio broadcast each week, even though I don't speak Italian, German, etc...the languages that opera is written in....I do it because I love opera.

Because they like it.

Music is about much, much more than just the lyrics. And with most music these days, you can't even hear the lyrics.
