Agree with the first answer. It takes me about twenty minutes to finish one now. When I started messing around with them, it took me days and days of messing around with it.

Here's a random fact: it takes Will Smith 2 1/2 minutes to complete a Rubriks cube.

What I would suggest doing is taking the cube apart and then reassembling it as solved.

Once it is back together as solved, experiment a little by making rotations and keeping track of each rotation that you do and making pictures of what each side looks like after a series of rotations. Then do the series of rotations in reverse to get back to solved. What I try to do is make certain edge pieces change or certain corner pieces change, and then reverse the series of rotations I used to get to that particular state. Eventually, you will generate a list of rotations and the various states that those rotations put the cube into. Eventually, with patience, you should be able to solve it.

If you don't feel like doing that, there are websites that tell you how to solve the rubics cube.

Oh and to disassemble the cube, rotate one of the sides about half way and then pull up on the corner piece. That will get you started.
