when my son was born we left my name off the birth record so i would not have to pay the hospital bill for the birth, because i dont have insurance through my job,my girlfriend told them she had no idea who the father is,but they want to know, the only help we get for our son is the medicaid no other help is needed,so if i give in and tell them my name will have to pay support.

And you want me, the Long Term Single Mom (of two disabled children! -- and yes, I PAY my own Health Insurance Premiums and did that to make sure that the children had access to health care) to pay the TAXES (and there is Federal Tax Money besides State Tax Money going to pay that Medicare Bill you are UNWILLING to pay) so that you can just run off and NOT pay for the Maternity Expenses (or much less the child support?)

I would certainly like to know how in the world you can justify that act? The Child Support and Friends of the Court will continue to look for the Father -- aggressively ... and YES, you DO need to take your responsibility for your actions.

GO to the Friend of the Court, take the DNA test ... and TAKE care of YOUR Adult Responsibilities -- YOU create a new life and expect all of us to FUND the costs of that?

Yes as a matter of fact, the state will want you to pay them the support to pay them back for some of the money they are paying out ( this is very commom)

Next name on or off any birth certificate does not take away your liablitly to pay any bill, And of course not paying any support or any bills for your son only shows what sort of person you are.

And the only support they need, it does not matter you have a legal obligation to pay, your girl friend should be making you pay though the nose and I hope she does.

Yes, you will have to pay support, there is only one way around it...and I live in Michigan, and my child is 15 yrs, and been on medicaid.
The only way you won't have to pay is if you are on the FIA with the mother and child. Because you are the biological father you can be added to the case, you don't have to get married if that's what you were thinking.

Holy crap whether or not you want to pay for YOUR CHILD, is not up to you,it is the almighty gov't that will hunt your butt down regardless of your state of residence, I am from Michigan and I went through this with my sons "fishy donor" who didn't want to pay, it wasn't the money, my child possesses no price, but trust me the Friend of the Court and other child service agencies will not let any dead beat skip out on their funding for a child that you gave to a woman regardless of what boohoo story you have. I know enough family oriented judges who are willing to put out contempt warrant, bench warrants, and subpoena's, you better cowboy up partner and do what good men do for their children, they are examples and role models to your kids or at least you should be? HUH? GOOD LUCK

yes, you'll have to pay support and you'll have to pay the doctor bills, too. You'll be lucky if you and your girlfriend both aren't prosecuted for Medicaid fraud.
You need to get a lawyer and come clean. You probably would have gotten away with it if she wouldn't have applied for Medicaid.

Your name means nothing. You ARE the biological father of the child and therefore financially responsible for the expenses WELFARE paid for! People like you make me sick!! You are the reason welfare fails. You lie and cheat and steal so you don't have to fork over the money to pay for your own child. You are not even a man in my book!

Not neccesarily. If you are married the confinement (cost of the birth) will be waived; if you are living together you won't have to pay child support (unless she asks for it) but you will have to pay back the cost of the birth. They will keep looking for the father so you may want to fess up now and take care of it.

I you live with your girlfriend and provide at least 50% of the child's support than you don't have to pay child support. If, however, you do not live iwth your girlfriend you will have to pay child support (that's federally mandated) and probably be required to pay the state back for your son's birth.

well, aren't you just special! Do you think other working people should pay for YOUR child? Pay your child support, don't you know other taxpayers pay for Medicaid. I can't believe you would even ask this question, what gall you have! Grow up, take responsibility for your own child! Dead beat Dad!!
