You asked almost this same question another time, so I am giving you almost the same answer. :-P

No way to tell for sure. Statistically you've got to like Anaheim to win it all, but upsets are so common that I would not put money on it. In any case, the Sharks are likely going to have the second best record in the Western Conference if they keep it up, but the highest seed they can be is fourth because Anaheim is in their division.

That said, the Sharks have a really well-balanced team. There are a lot of teams whose starting goalies wouldn't even be good enough to be in San Jose's lineup, let alone actually playing. They also have one of the most well-balanced defenses in the league, though it would be nice if one of two of them would step up and be like a Niedermayer or Pronger.

What I think the Sharks need is for Cheechoo to step and play like he did last year. They need to score more goals to keep up with the Ducks or Sabres this year. In answer to your question, though, I think the Sharks have a fair enough shot at it. We'll see who the injury bug is beating up on come Spring! That is often the key.

The Sharks are 12 points behind the Ducks, so they won't win the division. They will probably settle for the 4th or 5th seed and make it to the second round of they playoffs.
