I went to a SEC school and I'm now in a Pac-10 school. Honestly, I think these two conferences are the most over-rated conferences in the NCAA. In my opinion, I think the Big 12 or Big 10 are the best conferences (only in football).
TexasTyc$$n: Miami is not in the SEC, it is in the ACC.

Everyone is going to say the SEC because they are the conference with the best teams. Not me though, the most enjoyable conferences are the WAC and CUSA. In each of those conferences every single game is exciting and important. Almost every team has a chance to win the championship which adds to the drama... It's just too bad nobody cares for the schools in those conferences.

Head to head the top three in the Big 10 will probably beat any other conferences top teams but for depth you have to look at the SEC. The best mid major conference is the Mid-American and the talent is starting to show itself in the NFL.

SEC is the best conference because of all the attractive schools i.e. L.S.U Miami and Florida but as far as athletes the best highschool football players come out of 1.Texas 2. Florida 3. Calfiornia

the sec is the toughest and the deepest conference in the ncaa, without a doubt, no wonder they beat up on each other so badly every year.

With all due respect to the SEC, the Big Ten has the two best teams in the country right now and the 3rd place team is also top ten.

SEC is the most dominant one out there, but there are contenders and pretenders in all the BCS conferences, even the non BCS conferences, go BSU.

The SEC by far. If Auburn, LSU, Florida, and Arkansas don't beat up on each other. Any of those team could have gone undefeated. LSU's only two losses are to Auburn and Florida. Two of Arkansas's three losses were to Florida and LSU (and the other one was to USC). Auburn's two losses were to Arkansas and Georgia, who also in the SEC and Florida's only loss was Auburn. and btw TexasTyc$$n, Miami's in the ACC.
