Gloria Stuart (Old Rose): It's been 84 years, and I can still smell the fresh paint. The china had never been used. The sheets had never been slept in. Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.

So, if she was 17 when the Titanic sunk and you add 84 years, she was 101 years old when she died.

In the movie, Rose was with the explorers when they went searching for treasure. They were spellbound with her story. The Titanic sunk in 1912. Rose appeared to be about 17 or 18. So, in 1998 when the movie was made, that would make Rose about 104 years old!

BTW- you know that Rose was fictional, right?

If you watched the movie you'll see at the end that she died in her sleep, which explains why we see everyone who was on the ship in color, because she was meeting up with everyone else who died.

So however old she was at that time. 101
