I really don't know but 40k's nothing. We have a 2002 Millenia with 94k on it and the transmission is fine.

i own a repair shop, and i don't know if there's any truth to that at all, i have seen some around where i live with over 200 k on them, and there still going real good ,they do have problems ,with transmissions,,but so does all other makes of cars also,,so i wouldn't worry about it,,if one is going to go out,,there's not a lot you can do about it,,if i found one i wanted i wouldn't worry about what people say about them,,that's like people talk about dodges and there good cars also, and they give transmission problems also,,but i still bought one,and i have 120 k on it,,and still no problems with the transmission yet,so i wouldn't let that stop me,,good luck hope this help,s.happy new years also.

You must be talking about automatics... You can have a shop install a heavy duty tranny cooler and do the recommended transmission fluid change. Funny thing is that most people get the fluid changed only AFTER they transmission acts up, by then it's too late

Depends on how you drive your vehicles. If you treat them rough they aren't going to last long. If you have them serviced on schedule then they vehicle will last for many years without any major problems.
