I'd say shatabdi express of delhi dehradun route, leaves 6 or 6:30 am, has all ac coaches, serves food and reaches you at around 11:30 am, costs about Rs 500, taxi and bus is safe, but a train is safer, more comfortable and quicker, janshatabdi is also there 3:30 pm, few ac coaches, lesser fare, you buy your food seperately, if you wish

There are many trains between New Delhi/Delhi/Nizamuddin-Dehradun.

There are plenty of Buses going to Hardwar from Delhi ISBT, otherwise Shadabdi is very comfortable and quick. You can select as per your requirement and time.

it is totally safe by taxi..and i think you sud take taxi only, if you really want to enjoy your journey, it will take nearly 5 hrs

take train shatabdi exp easy and by plain depend how much you like spnd and your test of travel
